Filofax Guildford Slimline Organizer
With most things, I prefer the high-tech option. I have three iPads, a MacBook Pro, a snazzy Canon camera. Still, when it comes to my day planner, I'm strictly old school. I still get a kick out of writing in a lovely leather binder. My Filofax Guildford Slimline organizer is sleek and sophisticated but never stuffy. I really like the slim style, which makes this day planner ideal for work and travel, for men or women.
The organizer comes with a refillable calendar for the year, "to do" checklist pages, an expense checklist, note paper, and indexed address pages. It has several slots under the front cover for credit or business cards, as well as a sleeve for stashing receipts. The inside of the back cover also has a deep sleeve for bills, tickets, or other paper essentials. There's also a leather pen holder to help me keep everything together. At the end of the year, all I have to do is replace the pages. Filofax also sells a variety of refill pages so I can configure my calendar however I want (week-per-page, week-per-two-pages, day-per-page, etc.), as well as fun accessories such as maps, Sticky Notes (see photo), and storage pouches. The Guildford organizer is made out of soft premium leather. It's really an attractive, well-made planner. I've been using Filofax planners for more than 20 years, and the only reason I get new planners every five years or so is because I want a new style. I have yet to replace one because it's worn out! Bottom Line: If you like taking notes and keeping track of your appointments the old fashioned way, there's no better planner.--E.D. (Sept '10) BUY ONLINE : $90-105, click to shop at Amazon.
